Why did you change your name?
well, apart from no-one (living) ever calling me Alexander, changin yer name is quite a powerful grip on your own identity. It was a bit of an impulse thing - I found out the main registry company was in Witham, about 20 minutes away, and the next day I got it changed and witnessed.

What's the best thing about being my father?
Paying your child maintenance. I’m so proud of you. I know your mother is too; I’m old now, but whenever I pass out in her house over a fine Madeira port, we reminisce about what you used to be like as a hatchling and smile, at peace knowing that the world has you in it and that it has great things in store for you yet.
